For the not so energetic, the Sundowner Experience allows for the battle to be told whilst relaxing and enjoying sundowners at the perfect location right where the events took place.
From the terrace at Castella Amare in Melkbossstrand Dave will give a visual presentation of the events leading up to the British Invasion and the defense of the Cape by the Batavians, all while admiring the beautiful sunset and imagining the fleet anchored by Robben Island.
The battle is portrayed using pictures and maps to give a feeling of the events of January 1806.
This choice of location provides the chance to experience landings on the 6th January 1806 in front of Castella Amare.
